Three things are needed, all earned by studying: 85% or better accuracy over the last 30 days, practice on at least 15 of those days (10+ questions a day), and enough reward points, which come only from correct answers. Miss any of them and the card stays locked — it is skill-based, never a lottery. GCSE has no reward scheme — teenagers there focus on grades.
